The weekly briefing
What’s in your Monday briefing, where the numbers come from, and how the site health, AI readiness and AI visibility scores are worked out.
Every Monday you get one short briefing per site: what changed in search last week, what went well, what to watch, and the few things most worth doing next. It’s written to be read in two minutes.
When it arrives
SEOgent writes every site’s briefing on Sunday, after the weekly crawl, competitor rankings, AI visibility check and speed check have run. That way it’s ready before Monday morning anywhere in the world.
The email arrives Monday at 8:00 in your time zone. Everyone on the account gets it, and if you look after several sites, they’re all in one email.
To change your time zone or stop the email, go to Settings → Profile and change Time zone or untick Email me the weekly report. Every email also has an unsubscribe link at the bottom that works without logging in.
What’s in it
- The headline: the single most important thing that happened, with no hype.
- The summary: two or three paragraphs on what moved and why. Small swings are called out as noise, not news. If you’ve set a clicks goal, it says whether you’re on pace.
- Wins and concerns: up to four of each, one sentence apiece.
- Action items: the three to seven most valuable things to do next. They join your list on This Week. See How fixes work.
The email shows clicks, impressions and site health, plus the top three wins, concerns and action items. Read the full report opens the complete briefing in SEOgent.
Where to find it
- This Week shows the latest briefing’s headline, wins and concerns, with a link to the full briefing.
- Reports keeps every briefing, newest first. Each row has the week’s clicks, an eight-week trend line, and that week’s Health and AI scores: green from 80, orange from 50 and red below 50.
Where the numbers come from
Each briefing compares the latest complete seven days with data against the seven days before, with an eight-week trend for context. Search Console runs two to three days behind, so “last week” ends a couple of days before the briefing.
It reads:
- Search Console: clicks, impressions, click-through rate and position, which searches and pages moved, searches sitting just off page one, and pages with weak click-through
- GA4 or Plausible: visits, visits from search, engaged visits, conversions and top landing pages
- Site Health: new, open and resolved issues, and pages Google hasn’t indexed
- AI visibility: how often AI assistants mention you, and the questions competitors win
- Your work: what was finished last week and the notes left on it, drafts waiting for review, and the Content Plan
If Search Console or analytics isn’t connected, those parts are left out rather than guessed.
The scores
Site health is the share of your indexable pages with no open critical or warning issue. 80 and up is Healthy, 50 to 79 Needs work, and below 50 At risk.
AI readiness measures how well AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can read and quote your site. Half of it is your pages’ AEO scores, weighted toward pages that get search impressions. The rest is whether AI crawlers are allowed in, whether pages can be read without JavaScript, and whether your articles are current. If robots.txt blocks any AI crawler, the score can’t go above 50.
AI visibility is the share of AI assistants’ answers to your tracked questions that name or cite your site, with the change in points since the last check. See AI visibility.
The rest of the weekly review
Writing the briefing is the last step of the weekly review. Before it, SEOgent also:
- drafts better titles, meta descriptions and headings for up to eight pages, into the Review Queue
- tops the Content Plan up to 12 ideas
- rebuilds the keyword map once a month
